1. Overview

Consistly ("we", "our", "the app") is a habit tracking application that helps individuals build and maintain consistent daily routines. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information. We take your privacy seriously and keep data handling to the minimum necessary to deliver the service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name and email address. This is the only personal information required to create an account.

Habit Data

We store the habits you create, your daily log entries, streaks, reminder preferences, and progress data. This data is yours — it exists solely to power your experience.

Device & Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage signals (pages visited, features used) to improve the product. We do not track individual browsing behavior outside the app, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card number, CVV, or any sensitive payment credentials on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the core habit tracking features
To send push notifications and reminders you have explicitly enabled
To process payments and manage your subscription
To respond to support requests you submit
To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent activity
To generate anonymized, aggregate product analytics

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal habit data, usage patterns, or account information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. We conduct periodic security reviews and promptly address any vulnerabilities.

While no system is 100% secure, we take every reasonable precaution to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

5. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store a device subscription token to deliver reminders. You can revoke this permission at any time from your browser/device settings or disable all notifications from within the app settings. We only send notifications you have explicitly configured.

6. Your Rights

Data Export

Request a copy of all your data at any time by contacting support.

Data Correction

Update your profile information from Settings at any time.

Account Deletion

Request full account and data deletion by contacting us.

Opt Out

Disable notifications and marketing emails from Settings.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF token cookie for security. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. If you are not logged in, no persistent cookies are set beyond what is required by the browser session.

8. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate the product:

Razorpay — Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's privacy policy.
Firebase / Web Push — Push notification delivery. No habit data is shared with Firebase.
Google Fonts / Bunny Fonts — Typography. Font files are loaded from external CDNs.

9. Children's Privacy

Consistly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
